When Charles Feldman, the owner of the rights to Ian Fleming's first novel 'Casino Royale', failed to form an agreement with regular Bond Producers, Albert Broccoli & Harry Saltzman (Eon Productions), the decision was taken to make the film as a spoof of the Bond genre.
